The Young Animal Protection Society Inc. (YAPS) is a non-profit organization based in Cairns, Far North Queensland, dedicated to rescuing and caring for abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats in the region. Established in 1985, YAPS operates the YAPS Animal Refuge, providing a safe haven for these animals until they find their forever homes.
