Detailed Information

Kitty Rescue Squad is a not-for-profit organization established in October 2021 by a dedicated group of Latin American women with a passion for animals. Our mission is centered around aiding in the control and reduction of the overpopulation of feral and stray cats in Melbourne. Through our comprehensive programs including desexing initiatives, medical care, rehabilitation, rehoming services, and community education efforts, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of these vulnerable animals.

As a no-kill organization, Kitty Rescue Squad firmly believes in the power of love and patience to bring about miracles in the lives of cats in need. Our activities extend beyond rescue and rehabilitation to encompass organizing events that raise awareness about animal welfare issues and promote responsible pet ownership. Through these events, we aim to engage the community in our cause and encourage individuals to join us in our efforts to make a difference in the lives of these animals.

Kitty Rescue Squad operates thanks to the generous support of donations from our dedicated supporters and volunteers. Additionally, our rescue and rehabilitation programs are made possible through the invaluable contributions of our foster carers. Registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), we adhere to the highest standards of transparency and accountability in our operations.
