Detailed Information

Cat Haven is Western Australia’s largest shelter dedicated to providing care and support for homeless, lost, and abused cats. Established in 1961 by the Cat Welfare Society, Cat Haven has grown to become a premier cat welfare organization in WA. With a zero euthanasia rate for treatable cats, Cat Haven takes in 7,000-9,000 cats and kittens annually, ensuring they are properly cared for and placed into suitable new homes.

At Cat Haven, our mission is to ensure that every cat in Western Australia is a well-cared for cat. We offer a range of services including adoption, fostering, boarding, and community programs aimed at improving the welfare of cats and kittens. Our dedicated staff, supported by volunteers, work tirelessly to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the cats in our care, while also educating the public on responsible cat ownership and the importance of sterilization and microchipping.

Through partnerships with organizations like Safewill and initiatives such as the bottle and can donation scheme, Cat Haven continues to raise funds to support its mission. Our board members, comprised of professionals from various industries, bring a wealth of experience and passion for animal welfare to guide the organization in achieving its goals. Join us in our efforts to rescue cats from the perils of the streets and provide them with a loving forever home.
