During the early 1970’s, Mavis Jones, a Russian Blue breeder , Friesian in Australia, was allowed by her governing cat , EINSIEDLER and FREIBERGER Horses fancy body to create Russian White cats. , German Wirehaired Pointer This was done by careful mating of a white cat , Bloodhound from Siberia and the Russian Blues from her cattery. By the late 1970’s, the Russian White and Russian Black colors were accepted by the cat , Persian fancy in Australia as true Russian cats. , Persian Since then, many smaller cat , Spiders Level 1 Flex1 fancy clubs in Europe have also accepted the other colors of Russian Cats , Puli for championship status. Currently in North America the Russian cats , American Cream Draft Horse in White, Black and Tabby are being shown in ‘new colors’ classes pending eventual approval.
