Kiger Mustang

Kiger Mustangs were discovered in the 1970s during a routing roundup by the BLM (Bureau of Land Management).

Kiger Mustangs have primitive dun factor coloration and markings. Dun factor horse Camargue argue horse. In 1978, they set up the breed Stud Book. In order to be registered, foals must be born out of doors, and must be seen to suckle from a registered s are most commonly identified as duns and grullas. The dun markings that they can have include: dorsal stripes, zebra stripes on the knees and hocks, chest, rib, and arm bands, bi-colored mane and tail, ears with dark outlines and fawn colored interior and facial masks.

A single horse that has the dun factor may have many, but not all, of the primitive markings.
